5 Books...

📚 Book club read: This month in the Faitihfully Dissident Book Club we are reading The Body is Not an Apology by Sonya Renee Taylor. You can still jump in and join us for book club. Details here.

📚 In the middle of reading: Heart the Lover by Lily King | I kept hearing so much about this one so I proposed it for my IRL book club. I’m INTO IT.

📚 Just finished: Swear on This Life by Renée Carlino | I went on a tiny little spree reading books by her because I was googling books with second chance and yearning (for research, of course). Out of the three I read, this was my favorite, although none of them were absolutely incredible. This one definitely had my attention and I wanted to find out what happened.

📚 Oldie but Goodie: The Whole Brain Child by Daniel Siegel and Tina Bryson | My Kindle tells me I bought this in 2018, but I swear I never read it. Oops! Trying it on audio this time, as that’s my favorite way to digest this kind of book.

📚 Timely recommendation: Love Like a Mother: How the Sacred Work of Motherhood Reveals the Maternal Heart of God by Elizabeth Berget | This one comes out May 5 and is written by a friend of mine that I’ve connected with over the past year as we are both on our debut book-writing journey! I’m so excited for Elizabeth’s book to come out and I have a special excerpt to share with you below. You’ll quickly understand why I feel so connected to Elizabeth’s work. Grab your copy today; it's available anywhere books are sold. You can get it for 40% off plus free shipping from Baker Book house by clicking the banner!

What are you reading? Have you read any of these? I'd love to hear back from you; just hit reply!
