I’m so excited to show you the cover of my book

As you know, I spent the last few years writing my first book. I’m so happy to share that Faithfully Dissident Daughters releases on September 8th, 2026.

This book grew out of my own unraveling and rebuilding. It traces how patriarchy defined my imagination for my life and my faith through church culture and inheritance and how motherhood forced me to confront the version of faith I had inherited and decide what I would pass on.

It’s personal narrative and theological reflection, rooted in Scripture and the wider Christian tradition. It’s my heart on the page, written to make clear why feminist theology matters—because it made all the difference in my life.

I’m honored to share that the foreword is written by Dr. Christena Cleveland.

I spent 2025 studying the expressions of the Black Madonna from around the world with Christena and a small online cohort. Her work has shaped me deeply. When she talks about seeing God through her body, it gives me permission to see God through my own. Having her voice at the beginning of my book helps to place it within a wider conversation about dismantling patriarchy and recovering a more expansive vision of God.
