The summer solstice is the longest day of the year—a day unmistakably ruled by the sun, which has long been a symbol of the masculine. For centuries, Christian theology has centered that same kind of presence in God: strong, dominant, Father.

But if we listen to nature, we know that the solstice isn’t the whole story. Yes, it marks the high point of light, but it's also the turning point, the beginning of a slow return to the dark.

The Divine Feminine endures there, represented by the moon. She waits in the shadows, in the silence, in the sacred spaces we’ve forgotten to celebrate.

This summer solstice, I invite you to join me in reclaiming space for the Divine Feminine: the face of God that has always been there, but rarely acknowledged. God as Mother, the Spirit as feminine, and Christ as nurturer.

For the very first time, I'm opening up this offering to bring men and women together in a learning and community experience. Whether you're reconnecting with your own experience of the feminine, reimagining God through a post-evangelical lens, or simply longing for something more whole, this space is for you.

I've taught this workshop twice in person and many people asked for a way to access it online, so I’ve created this digital version: a one-hour live workshop on Zoom (replay available if you can't join live) + an optional month-long virtual support circle to help you go process and integrate, wherever you are.

What We'll Explore

Through scripture, theological reflection, discussion, and meditation, we’ll explore:

  • The feminine imagery for God found throughout the Bible
  • The wisdom of Christian voices throughout church history who spoke of God as Mother, the Spirit as feminine, and Christ as Wisdom incarnate
  • Your questions and concerns around seeing God in the feminine
  • A guided meditation to help you experience the breath, presence, and tenderness of a God who nurtures, holds, and empowers

This is not about replacing God the Father. It’s about rebalancing our image of the Divine, so that our faith—and our lives—can become more whole.

Who This Is For

This workshop is open to everyone:

  • Those raised in patriarchal religious traditions, navigating faith shifts or deconstruction
  • Women who long to see themselves reflected in the Divine
  • Men who are ready to expand their image of God
  • Queer folks who’ve been told there's no place for their bodies, identities, or ways of knowing in the story of God
  • Pastors, lay leaders, and spiritual guides

An interesting thing happens when we start to notice the Divine Feminine through Scripture. It opens up space for people all along the gender spectrum. Whether you’ve longed for a God who looks more like you, or you simply want to explore a more full picture of who God is, this is your invitation.

Why This Matters Now

Our faith communities are aching for something more whole. We need space to be human and to heal through honesty about our life experiences. If you’re a pastor, a spiritual guide, or someone holding space for others—you already know this.

Reclaiming the Divine Feminine in Christianity is about recovering the parts of God and ourselves that patriarchy told us to ignore. Now is the time to speak a fuller truth and imagine God more completely.

A Note to Male Pastors (Former and Current) or Spiritual Leaders

Many of us inherited a version of God and leadership that centers male dominance, authority, and certainty.

But scripture also speaks of a God whose strength is expressed through compassion, presence, and wisdom.

If you’re guiding others through faith deconstruction or longing for more expansive, embodied ways to speak of the Divine, this workshop offers theological depth, scriptural grounding, and spiritual imagination.

You are welcome here.

The Support Circle: A Deeper Journey

The workshop opens a door. The Support Circle invites you to walk through it gently, in community, and on your own time.

This month-long experience is designed for those who want to go deeper—to ask questions, process, integrate, and embody the truths of the Divine Feminine in a spacious, soul-nourishing way.

What’s Included:

  • A Private Marco Polo Group (4 Weeks, June 20-July 18): Throughout the 4 weeks you’ll receive video messages from Chelsea with reflections, prompts, or embodied practices to carry with you. Marco Polo lets us connect without the pressure of showing up at a specific time. You can listen in the car, on a walk, or with your morning coffee and respond when you’re ready.
  • Ongoing Asynchronous Sharing: Share your own reflections or questions on your own time. Listen and respond in a way that fits your rhythm. No live calls. No pressure. This space is open to all genders and designed for gentle, meaningful conversation. This space is for you if you want more time to reflect on the Divine Feminine and what it brings up for you in a safe, spacious container.
  • Themes for Reflection: Everyone brings their own story to this circle, so what unfolds will be uniquely yours. You may find yourself exploring new sacred images of God that once felt off-limits. You may begin to heal from inherited ideas about gender, power, or worth. You might name the harm of patriarchal theology and find language that sets you free. You may learn to trust your body or intuition again—or begin to witness that unfolding in others. This is a space for letting go of fear and moving toward a more compassionate, expansive faith.

This is a space for transformation through presence, reflection, and shared wisdom. Space is limited to allow for a close and connected support circle. Early registration encouraged.
