Learning to See Wisdom

For generations, the story of Holy Week has been told in ways that center power, spectacle, and male authority while overlooking the women who stayed, watched, waited, and were the first to witness resurrection.

A text exchange between a friend and I recently

This Lent, I'm inviting you re-center your focus on the women and on feminine wisdom. That’s why I created the Wisdom Calls Cohort (I only have a couple spots left, so sign up now if you've been meaning to!). When we see God in the feminine, it changes how we imagine the world God wants and what we believe is possible., and I'm looking forward to journeying with an intimate group over the 40 days of Lent.

When you see the feminine face of God—metaphors as true as any in scripture—it changes you.

You stop making yourself small.
For too long, we've been taught that holiness looks like self sacrifice. When you see God in the feminine, you start to believe that your voice, your wisdom, your presence matters.

You get angry—and then you get free.
Anger is natural when you realize how much has been hidden from you to maintain power structures. But your anger is a compass, pointing toward liberation.

You reclaim your spiritual authority.
Wisdom, Sophia, has always been calling—crying out in the streets (Proverbs 8). When you answer, you stop outsourcing your faith to external authorities and begin trusting the sacred wisdom within you.

However, I know that the cohort might not be right for you right now, which is why created a free 7 week curriculum to help you see Holy Week through women's eyes, voices, and bodies.
