📚 Book club read: For August we are reading Wild Mercy by Mirabai Starr, which is another one of my favorite books. Give me alllll of the female-centered wisdom and spirituality, please! 📚 In the middle of reading: Endling by Maria Reva | This is a really interesting read related to the ongoing war in Ukraine. I picked it up because it was recommended by my local book store...I’m learning they always have very quirky picks. It started out as one thing, which was already strange, and it’s morphed into something else entirely.

📚 Just finished: The Correspondent by Virginia Evans | This was for my in-person book club and we all really enjoyed it! The entire book is letters to and from the main character, and I thought the format was interesting and extremely well-done. This seems like it would be a hard book to write.

📚 Seasonal read: It’s been a minute since I recommended some good old smut. I’m currently listening to Heathen and Honeysuckle by Sarah A. Bailey. Someone recommended it to me when I mentioned trying to write a romance novel with purity culture themes (I still really want to do this but am stalled out on it at the moment...writing fiction is hard, as it turns out).

📚 Timely recommendation: I likely recommended Circe by Madeline Miller at some point in the past but felt timely because of the buzz of the new Odyssey movie. I really really need us as a society to move past re-telling patriarchal stories, and it just hit different especially while in the middle of reading Cassandra Speaks last month. Circe is a feminist retelling and I just need you to read it right now because it’s incredible.
