5 Books...

📚 Book club read: Faithfully Dissident Daughters, hehe! Book club is reading and discussing my book this month. Join us, if you’d like!

📚 In the middle of reading: Strangers by Belle Burden | Have you, like everyone else, apparently, read this one yet? I’m about 2/3 done and it’s....fine? Sometimes I get infuriated by the way that rich/famous/connected people get to have massive best-selling books when I’ve ready books way better by a “nobody.” The publishing industry, like most systems, can be so infuriating.

📚 Just finished: Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins | I’m so behind on this one but I just did not feel like reading it last year when it first came out. I thought it was just meh. Enjoyed the President Snow backstory book so much more!

📚 Oldie but Goodie: Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés | Just...read it already.

📚 Timely recommendation: Against White Feminism by Rafia Zakaria | Someone just recommended this one to me, and at first I was like, ugh, another book about how much white women suck, I swear I know already (lol). But I’m 75% done and it’s actually provided some interesting, new, and bolstering insights for me. I am very committed to being an actual intersectional feminist, so I am glad to keep educating myself in this realm.

What are you reading? Have you read any of these? I'd love to hear back from you; just hit reply!

This month's circle: The Witching Hour returns

The Witching Hour: An All Souls’ Day Women’s Circle
Our first monthly women’s circle, Monday, November 2. Free and open to everyone.

Monday, November 2 (All Souls' Day) · 5 pm PT / 7 pm CT / 8 pm ET on Zoom

Last year we gathered around the woman at Endor, the medium Saul sought out when God went silent, and spent the hour lighting candles for the women who came before us. We're doing it again, and this time it's the first of a new monthly circle.

It's free, and everyone's invited. If you're getting this email, you're in. Watch your inbox for the Zoom link the week of. Know someone who'd love it? Forward this along. Save your spot here.
